Guided Bike Tour of Rotterdam by Archiguides
Take a tour of Rotterdam’s architectural highlights. There’s lots of them, so you’ll need a bike to see them all! This tour will take you past some of the most exciting recent building projects, focusing on the banks of the
river New Meuse, which have proved to be fertile ground for great architecture. On the south bank we will visit the large-scale docklands redevelopment known as the “Head of the South” which has breathed new and vibrant life into a part of the city that had become derelict when harbour activities were moved outside the city limits. Crossing Ben van Berkel’s elegant Erasmus bridge, the tour also showcases buildings by Renzo Piano, Peter Wilson and Sir Norman Foster, as well as taking a tour of the Rem Koolhaas-designed Museum park, which is also home to Jo Coenen’s Netherlands Architecture Institute. There is an additional fee for the architectural tours. You can subscribe for this tour with your on-line registration.
